Bought myself a yellow HGT to add to my collection of Fiats, supposedly immaculate condition however, apart from a new cambelt already done I am working through a long list of repairs. I have just replaced the front wishbones and found water came out of the bolts holes to the subframe.

There is a long rubber pipe under inlet manifold which runs from thermostat to not sure where??? this has been rubbing on a metal lug sticking out of back of engine block causing antifreeze to spray everywhere. Can anyone tell me where the other end of this pipe attaches, I can't see it and pipe isn't shown in my electronic manual. I'm hoping I can remove the pipe without having to remove inlet manifold first. Any idea where I could get a replacement pipe from as well?

Cheers

Well as no one seemed to know what I was on about I thought I would update in case helps anyone else.

The pipe I am having trouble with runs at back of engine from thermostat to water pump, very hard to get at as is directly beneath inlet manifold. However, I dug up a thread from a forum member that suggested removing right hand engine mount and that indeed gave access.

One strange thing is when draining coolant there is no bottom hose on the radiator from which to drain the system!(n)
