My car failed it's MOT today :(

Here's a list of what went wrong:

O/S/F and N/S/F ball joins worn to excess.

N/S/F and O/S/R shock absorbers leaking to excess.

Front to rear brake pipe corroded to excess.

O/S and N/S compensator to hose brake pipes corroded to excess.

Wiper blades not clearing screen.

As an advisory:

O/S/F shock absorber damp.

O/S/F and N/S/F tyres wearing low.

Oil leak on engine.

So using my technical knowledge I've come to the decision that, generally speaking, my car is a bag of arse.

I'm looking at around £350 to get it all sorted - and my Uncle owns the garage I'm having it done at and it was the lowest he'd suggested so goodness knows what it'd be at a FIAT dealership.

Do y'all think I should go ahead with the repairs or dump it for something else?

all the above you have pointed out are all just every day wear and tear problems if you like the car and your uncle is doing the job for that price get it done but i would consider a lowering kit if all the shocks are faulty

hope you get sorted

Yeah he said it was all fairly general stuff but it's all creapt up at once despite not being uncommon for a car of this age and mileage.

I think I'm likely to keep it. With pay day coming up, it's not quite so bad, but it all depends on when he can get it sorted for.
