Hi, the a/c on my brava seems to have a mind of it's own, when i start the car with the a/c off, it suddenly turns on, while driving with a/c on if i hit a bump the damn thing kicks in and the dials get screwed up meaning 0 becomes auto and auto becomes 0. I just bought the car a few days ago, the owner is Fiat's Sales Manager, he had a full service done before handing the car over to me(cambelt changed), but this a/c is driving me nuts, i just want to see if there's a solution that i can implement myself before going to fiat(as i'm sure it's going to be very expensive).

Thanks,

Juan Fuentes

Problem solved, it was a fault in a hose or something, fiat didn't fix it though, had to take it to a/c place, and quite cheap too. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Can you explain how did they fix it please? I have this problem and I can't fix it.

Hi , and welcome, :)

this is an OLD thread.. like the bravo/a.. ;)

using leak detection equipment to find the area that has wear/damage, and repair / replace,
then pressure test again.

my marea has a similar issue.. but is now so old..I'm not going to investigate.
