My 2001 JTD failed it's mot on rusty rear brake lines and worn rear radius arm bushes.
I'm in the process of stripping it to replace them however looking at the rear bias adjuster mechanism (it's connected to the rear arb) it doesn't apper to be doing much. I can't see the range of movement in the arb would have any effect on the valve, the spring isn't under tension and the only movement on the actuator seems to be the other direction.

How important is the equalizer? can I just get rid of it? If so I could replace the whole lot with a custom braided rear flexi going straight from the centre lines to each rear drum?
