I've just replaced the front springs on my Fiat Brava and I'm now getting a creaking noise from the top of the drivers side suspension strut. This only happens from around half lock on either turn. Is this just part of the 'bedding down' process or has something potentially gone wrong when refitting the strut? If it's the bearing what could have gone wrong? Thanks for any help.

ok thanks I'll ask, as someone else fitted it. I suppose the only way is to take that strut off again and check? Also is there a chance that some damage may occur if it hasn't been fitted properly? In which case could it be an idea to get a new bearing just in case? Thanks for your help.

I had this on my Panda, when EVO put the Cobras on my 100HP.

The garage put some spray grease on it - hasn't been back since.

Yes I was wondering if some grit has just got in there. Presumably you spray from the top (I've taken the covers off the top of the struts in the engine bay, there's a small gap between the top cover and the rubbers). I'll give it a go and see what happens. Thanks.
