can anyone tell me whats up with this, im thinking its the head gasket, but the car hasnt been ran for about a month, could it be cold, dont want to run it to long incase it;s the head gasket, the longest ive had it running is 10mins and white smoke is still there, been of the road for 2months, but hasnt been started for a month, i put the battery on charge for 20mins, then came to it, and it fired up 1st time (yesturday) someone might be able to tell me the bad new's that its the head gasket, but i just want someone to clarify it is, there is no oil in water no gunge in oil cap no water in oil.

Hi,

I can't hear a miss in it, therefore i don't think its the headgasket.

However by the sounds of it, i would say it was either drivin on hard when cold or ran without oil.

Same as JLenno says The engine sounds like it is firing properly but it does sound quite tappy. Perhaps with the car being stood for a long time some of the automatic tappets have drained and just need a run to refill. If the oil is old or due for a change you may aswell do it now and check oil level at the least once a week.

A compression test will give a good indication of the engines condition.

Is the fuel really old? It could be a bit stale.
