Should be an option under advanced or expert to enable switch off with ignition on the standard stereo.

with a new unit, two cables do need to be switched or the stereo will loose its memory. The instructions should say

Hi rustyballz,

I have recently installed a CD Changer into a P-reg Brava (i guess you are doing the same?). The standard stereo was a Grundig AD182H (1st version with CD Changer control). It came with the standard CD changer lead (for only Grundig changers, I guess) when I looked in the boot, but I did not think this is an ISO connector. Since I was installing a Sony T69 changer, I had to put in one of these Connect2 ISO connectors (AFAS007 was suggested for Brava/o, ps. you have to get the right one for the head unit). The CD Changer connector and 2 RCA leads on the head unit just fitted straight into the connect2. Then one 5m CD changer lead from the Connect2 to the Changer. Works a treat.

With regards to the "auto switch off with ignition", I guess it depends on your make of head unit (and whether it has been re-wired in anyway). The ADH182H would automatically switch off 20 minutes later as described in the manual. I tested this out...works a treat.
