Hi all, I need a new tripod-type inner CV joint for my 2001 1.6SX, anyone know the best place to source one, ECP's have one listed for £36 but they're not sure if it's the right one for the car
Local motorfactors want a billion quid for one, and the local FIAT dealer gave me, "A what? Errrm, we'll look it up on the computer and get back to you..."

The reason why it is dear at the motor factors is possibly because they have quoted for a complete drive shaft. Check it out but I do not think you can get the inner joint separately, the outer yes but the inner only as a drive shaft complete seems to be the norm.

They may have, bit rubbish given it slides off as a unit though

Has anyone got a part number I can give the dealer? They're struggling....

Does Fiat have an online parts database I could get the number off a la Peugeot/Citroen/Ford, etc?

I've found the ePER site, but I keep getting an error from the server due to too many connections, I've been trying for 3 days, is anyone else having the same trouble?

Must be a hell of a demand!
