Am in the middle of changing the rear shocks on my Brava 1.2. Have managed to undo the bolts but can't seem to maneouvre the shock past the spring and petrol tank. Anyone got any ideas?

Do I need to knock the bottom bolt (square head) out - I've given it a few smacks but it doesn't seem to be moving.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers mate. Lost my rag with it and gave it a good smack. Got it moving. Never tells you these things in the Haynes manual - I wasn't sure if it was tack-welded on.

One done - lunch - then the other one!!

Question:

I know that the nuts which fix the rear shock on the bravo are auto-blocking nuts (at last the lower nuts).

But are the screw which fixes the UPPER part of the rear shock also equipped with auto-blocking nuts? Fiat couldn't tell me... it seems there are no nuts at all for the UPPER part... ???

Thanks
Zardo
