hey guys,

I have a 1.9td 1999 fiat bravo and wanted to change the speedometer bulbs to blue led's...

i had bought 8 bulbs of these ( click here to view ) from ebay and today, I went to try and fit them on but they do not fit. the problem seems to me that the printed circuit board is thicker than the gap where the bulb is twisted to fit in....

anyway, could anyone of you give me a link from where I can buy the CORRECT bulbs which will definately fit?

Save your money, the effect is awful and not the same as sellers illustrations show. The dials wont have an even glow, they will have areas where they are dim and the needle will glow a brown colour. What do you get if you mix green with blue? Thats the colour your dials will shine. Not blue.

indeed, I managed to get those bulbs working. they do show blue light but it's like 40% less luminosity when compared to the actual factory bulbs.

maybe in the future i'll change to plasma dials ... but for now they are ok. atleast I put my hands down, tried, and succeeded

now i was actually thinkin that myself as wernt sure if by changing the bulbs would give a blue lite.
Best way about it so i seen would be to change the dials to white and get blue bulbs,look well that way

If your careful enough you can scratch the green film off the rear of the dials. That way whatever colour led you use it'll shine through. Personally I would glue a blue film on the rear of the dials after i had removed the green film. That way the light output remains even across the dials, the needles still shine red but the dials light up blue.

scratching the dials - is it abc stuff or what?

@mickey bravo - will try and post a picture of the result. I'm not happy, neither sad about them. wish'ed they are bluer though...

and there are brightspots too.

so is it possible to change the dials to while only? instead of buying a whole expensive (to me) plasma dials?

so, is it easy to scrape off the existing green film? and what does the result look like?
