Okay I have to do oil change on my car I got the filter today going to do the change tomowrow, I have never owned a Euro car before so and I have manual for every model of this car except mine :( I guess Haynes don't provide for Diesel anyhow can someone tell me how much oil I need to put into my car? I guess I could just put some in and test level but thought someone could send me specs on it, and also where is my oil filter located on my car?

My Bravo JTD takes 5L of oil, the oil filter is on the front of the engine, once underneath the car and you look up, you can't miss it. :)

Dunno if your TD will be a copper washer sump plug or a taper.. The copper ones you should either replace or aneal the copper washer. Get the engine warm before you start - cold diesel oil takes forever to drain. Not too hot though or you won't be able to touch it!

As for capacity I believe it's just shy of 5L..

Hi!

Its 4.0 litres with used oil filter or 4.5L with new (empty) oil filter!!!

***Be very careful checking the level once you've put 4.0L in as there may still be some in the sump etc., and overfilling diesels can cause 'em to overspeed and destroy themselves - I had a Xantia with an XUD engine that was complaining of low oil level due to a dud sensor, as a result I put too much in and that's what happened!!!***

A good quality 10W/40 diesel-spec. oil should be fine!!!

i believe the JTD100 requires the same type of diesel like the 75TD? if yes, then the manual states Selenia Turbo Diesel Oil. better to check with someone else too though
