Last night I was towed back from London coz my drive shaft was on the verge of going completely (that's what the AA man said)... horrendous knocking & banging which got worse as it was tested up & down the road.
Can I get a recon, if so what sort of price & how difficult will it be for my other half to fit it (he's not half bad with big bikes & cars)

i'd guess around £100 for a recon shaft and cv on exchange, and then if your half is handy with a spanner then it's a pretty simple job. (long as he's got a ball joint splitter)
