Hello, I'm new on this forum, and i not from the UK so please be patient..
I have a 1998 Bravo SX 1.4 12v ( not the best engine out there .. i know)
The hing is that lattley, it's no use reving the engine pat 2500-3000 rpm.
It is like it's not runing on all pistons( but at higher revs ),
I suspect the ignition coil is faulty
the thing is i have found a page in a manual that says how to checked the coil .. and i did it:
the are 2 circuits:
-The A circuit where resistance should be between 0.45 and 0.55 ohm ( mine gave a resistance of 1.55 ohm ) the thing is my ohmmeter isn't a verry reliable one:(
-The B circuit, between 12000 and 14600 ohm ( mine gave 13400 ohm)

How important is the first circuit?
could it be the cause for my lack of power at higher revs?

The engine does not burn off any oil .. that is why i think it is a electrical/ ignition problem.

Any other ideas? :worship::worship:

I recentley asked a mecanic and he said he wanted to do a injection test.
What is that? and most important why?
