right,finished my car at 8pm tonight after dropping my car on all 4's after 4 month
Altho,just need to put battery in.
Right,what me and ma mate couldnt get our head around is where does this go..as we cant find any spare loose plugs.It has to go somewhere,there was nothing lose on my car before i stripped it lol
Its the white 3 pin plug thats coming out of the same wire as the brown 2 pin plug that attaches up under the maf.So it must go somewhere around there,.

they brown one i'd pretty sure is the intake temp sensor which is on the induction pipe you need from me

the other one i'm unsure of, i think it might be throttle position sensor though.

Yer i knew where that went lol

Just emailed you,wernt sure if you were on lol
The TPS,ive already got it plugged in.Even if i were to swap it round and plug the white cable in,id still be left with 1 lol

i'm struggling a bit Mick, the only 3pin connectors i can remember in that area on the N/A are:

TPS
speedo sensor
crank sensor

Ah right k,..Think i may not have 1 on then.Im not clued up on part names lol,my mate told me what he has plugged in,ill ask him 2moz.
I do know he has plugged in the speedo sensor and crank sensor at the rear.

Just remembered,i have plugged in that tps into the throttle bodie.It was a black plug that went to it and just reached to it..

At the rear of the engine are 3 plugs,1 blue at the left side which i connected to a black plug,a white plug from the right of it which we connected to another whte plug and then theres the crank sensor plug which is plugged intogether.
Puzzled as to where this other white plug goes lol

i wonder if that plug you have free could be the second knock sensor :chin:

Along the back of a 20vT you have the Cram Phase sensor, Knock sensor 1, and Knock sensor 2 and Crank sensor.

From memory both knock sensors are white plugs. Cam Phase is blue and Crank is black.

hmm but thats a 20vt,will be different to mine.
if thats the case then i have a knock sensor missing

Just been out to the shed as i remember hangin up a sensor with a white plug on the end..
If you look at the pic of my old engine,You can see the Cam S,Crank S and Knock S still connected up.. ALSO you can see that spare sensor hangin down that i have just put on top of the engine to show,Also there is another spare hole to the left (that i have circled) so a bolt must have gone in there as there are threads inside..So seen as i took out the white sensor out of my old engine and hung it up (dnt know why lol ) then that means that it belongs in that hole
we was both wondering what went in there wen we put the engine in,but didnt have a clue so we just left it.

I got in in earlier but what a pain.Jacked car up but couldnt get it on from underneath,too much stuff in the way,driveshatfs,mounts an all that..So got in from the top an managed to squeeze arm behind the inlet..an dropped the bolt lol
Lucky i got a few bolts spare lol Got it in anyhow..Put battery tray an batt back in now.Just gota wait till i get some oil etc next week to see if she starts...fingers crossed
Oh i swapped all those clamp clips for jubilee clips..much easier

hi there m8 iv got a hgt and the white plg u r on about goes in to the metal section at the engine end of the intake pipe good luck

Ive sussed it anyhow.Like i said and posted up.I had a spare white sensor that i had taken off prior to removal of old engine.Was just unsure where it went.I put the sensor back in and connected the white plug together as they are both white.
As Ry said,there are 2 knock sensors on the back
