I am new to this Forum and to Fiat's. I recently bought a Bravo which I am happy with but would like to change the standard radio. I don't have the correct tools (I have tried a knife but with no luck). So if anyone has tools they would like to sell - drop me an email.

I also do not have a red key so I am worried that if I disconnect my battery (or take out the radio) the car won't start again. I have been reading through the forum but thought it would be easier to post my query. I have a lot to learn about this car, and this is a good place to start.

thanks in advance for any help

You can take the radio out using two thin screw drivers as there are two clips that need to be released to get the radio out. One on the side goes up and the other across if you get me. I didnt use any special tools as they dont seem to be easy to get hold of.

The red key is a bit more important tho. Its worth chasing it up with the last owner or it could cost much £££ if anything does go wrong, not that its likely but you never know.

Howdy and welcome aboard. See the bravo guide for stereo removal at http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/ice.htm#remove

As fo the red key, as stated above it would be worth chasing for it. However, your car should still start with the normal key following disconnecting the battery.

And whilst your here - have a look at the bravo-guide. Everything you need to know about the bravo. You will proably also find some faults you didnt know you had! lol. And lastly, if you like what you see, why not join BOO (Bravo/a Owners Organisation). Loads fo discounts available )

Hi,

As Wimmy says, bravo-guide is the place to go. Lots of other sound advice too. (y)

Sorted my radio out using a couple of feeler gauges. Just follow the pictures. Some gloves or cloth around the feeler gauges might help to avoid cutting yourself.

I ended up being the unlucky one, one of the clips manged to rap itself around the slot clip holder part and became near imposible to get out
