I don't want to sound like a kill joy, but Eibach never made a 50mm lowering spring or kit for the Bravo I. I have Eibach's and the most they lower is by 30mm. There is no shortened shocks either made by Eibach for the Fiat Bravo I.

So i've no idea what springs or shocks you've bought. Also if you dont believe me ring Eibach.

lol. I did ring eibach to buy new ones from them. And then rang them back too check that the ones i found are genuine. Eibach do 50mm and another company does 60mm.

Sorry, I don't believe you. But dont take it the wrong way, I have been known to be wrong in some cases, but I have been on the phone to atleast 10-15 auto stores in regards to Eibach springs for my car including Eibach.co.uk themselves and none lower the car more than 30mm.

But on the off chance Eibach made a set im sure you can read off the Eibach code on the springs, like you did to confirm they are genuine. Or show us a link on any car site on the net that sell Eibach 50mm Bravo lowering springs or Eibach Suspension kits that lower 50mm. If the Shockers are Eibach which ones are they?

Eibach only does the Pro-Kit for the Bravo (182), the max they lower is 30mm.

Actually sold Pro-Kit is for 1.4 1.6 and 1.8 Bravos, 2.0 HGT is no more included in Eibach catalog.
I have a MKI HGT (147hp) with Eibach springs and custom (racing-like) shock abs.
I will NOT tell you how much the car is lower from stock...
Just look at this: My Garage

Shorten Shocks lower ride height more when matched with lowering springs, typically an extra 10-30mm depending on springs and shocks. So add the Eibach lowering springs and you'll be looking at a drop of around 50mm.

We have the same springs as the HGT and diesels (JTD) share the same spring kit. I will get photos of a standard drop on Eibachs on new KYB shocks, it's definately not that low.

Eibach actually did springs for the 1.2 aswell as the others (1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 and diesels). Eibach has discontinued the 2.0/diesel springs part number E3017-140, however they are still available abroad if you know where to look. ;)

Also why does your garage page say that they are Eibach Sportlines? No Sportlines available for any Bravo (182). Also fitted by previous owner.

I will do my best to get the codes of the front springs but i can't off the back coz they have been powder coated in yellow Lool

alls i want to know is there a spring set out to buy that can lower a hgt to 50mm thanks chris

Well you can't go 50mm without getting shorten shocks. So yes you can get springs that lower 50mm but you'll need accompanying shocks too.

I find this place a good website for suspension and the prices aren't that bad either.

Venom Motorsport Performance Car Parts

The best suspension to get is the FK Coilover kits, but take a look at there website. Some springs drop more than 50mm.

-Ride height is done by spring stiffness and lenght, NOT from shock abs! Shock Absorbers function is to BRAKE the spring inertia, that could cause the car bouncing after hitting a road imperfection. Modern shocks have also some "lifting" strenght, but not so much... 30mm of EXTRA lowering from shocks is totally impossible, maybe 5mm...

-My garage says some "lies" because some parts are not listed in the system. I was forced to use "sportlines" because there's no other possibilities.
and yes, springs and shocks was fitted by previous owner, but i have removed all time ago, during a service, and read the brand name in both parts. And i have also some documents regarding the purchase and the installation, made by ASSETTI GIRALDI (http://www.giraldicartechnology.it), a specialist in racing suspensions setup.
Hope this will clear your doubts ;)
