Hi

My son have a car Bravo 1.6 (103KM, 1997). The car is working without any problems but I checked error code and the program VISA 1.83 displays an error in ECU "Error Self-learning".
Can anybody tell me what is this error "Self-learning" ?

has the ECU been reset reacently? as it can be re-set by leaving the positive terminal off the battery for around 12 hours once you connect it again the ECU self learns itself on how the car is driven, thats what i recon anyways, could be wrong but is a thought,

About two weeks ago I disconnected the battery for one day because I changed the battery.
Is a special procedure of learning ECU ?

I don't understand what you mean.

I think to reset the ECU you have to disconnect the battery for about an 1 hour. The reconnect it and start the engine. Leave it running for 5 mins without touching the throttle, then turn the engine off. The ECU will now 'learn' your driving style over the next 100miles or so.
Do this and see if the fault code returns (reset it before this procedure).

Ok, tomorrow morning I will try to reset it. I describe to you what was the result. Thank for all.

I reset the ECU and perform the procedure as described. A little longer than 5 minutes because I waited until the engine will reaches about 90 degrees. I traveled for about 180 km and I have no error in the ECU. I again thank for all !!
