The car not me :D

1.4 Bravo when cold has a hesitation pulling away, if you use very gentle throttle openings pulls smooth, but give it to much gas and the power drops off, floor it and it hesitates then pulls away normaly.
After driving a mile or so runs as normal.

Funny thing is the wifes Corsa does the same but only when its really hot!

When was it last serviced? Sounds like a cold fuelling issue to me. Failing that spark plugs or leads breaking down but I would have thought that would be constant rather than just when cold.
 
Yip, I was thinking cold fueling as well, its like having a flat spot in the fueling, just off tick over.

But only when the engine cold :confused:
 
Yah i have a 79 Brava 2liter in my 78 Mirafiori, it hesitates befor it is wormed up too....
 
sounds like a CTS
what revs is it doing when cold? should be a couple of hundred higher until it warms up. This is governed by the coolant temp sensor. :)

No idea, its a S model so no rev counter :eek:
Strange thing is it appears to have cured its self, in as much as its been fine the last couple of days.

Just wondering if its a dodgy plug or blocked injector :confused:

mine does this idles higher untill warm, id day if its ment to rest at 800rpm its doing about 1100, is doesent bother me tho, as because im used to driving a turbo car, the T5 im uset to letting the car warm up for 10 mins before driving it :D lol

It will run higher when you start the engine from cold because the choke will be on.
