I was today at local service and we've done diagnostic check because lamp of ABS and Air-bag don't lit. The light on instrument panel was unpluged and computer registered ABS failure. Mechanic said that it might be that ABS pump went off. :bang: . Does anybody have something similar and what to do? Regarding the Air-bag computer don't recognize it at all and mechanic told me that it might be somthing like "central" that went off. What about that?

Check the connection under the seat of the seatbelt pretentioners, this usually causes the airbag light to show.

EDIT: When I say usually... I've known this to happen on cars with airbags, not just FIATs.

Thanks Alex that was helpfull :D :D . Do you know something about this ABS pump, can it be repaired or the price for used one

Sorry don't know about abs much, probably worth checking the sensors on the breaks/front hub though. Not the ones on the break pad (if you have any) because they're the ones that warn the pads are low. Check out the Merea forum as well as the merea will have the same components, polecat is probably the one to ask.

If the pump has siesed then you'll have to get a new one, and fitting will be a pain because you'll more than likely have to drain the entire breaking system!

Sorry I don't know much about the airbag and ABS systems. These are really not user serviceable units and should only be worked on by authorised dealers as they require setting up. Something as simple as changing the wheels or brake pad type on an ABS car can throw it out enough to spin you when it operates. Having said that you can set the valves up with a torque wrench if you have the correct weight in the boot.

On the ABS side I would check the sensors and toothed wheels on the hubs to see if they are excessively dirty or damaged. This can cause the light to come on.

The airbag warning can be activated by faults in the loom, there have been a few posts about problems with the passenger side loom when the airbag is not fitted.

Thanks guys. :)
I've takled with authorized dealers here and they've told me that if the pump wen't off I have to order whole ABS and the price is about 1.000 euros. I think I'll wait for a while. :(
