Technical Fiat bravo 1.2 16v, swap to 1.6 16v

Technical Fiat bravo 1.2 16v, swap to 1.6 16v

From everything what I have read I can not understand one thing: What is the point to invest money for new engines and ECU , work and 1000s of other gadgets when it is much easier whether to sell the car and buy another one, or just to swap the engine with another one working properly.

because is a economic crisis:slayer:

we want to experiment, nobody have bravo with 1.4 16V...

i can sell my 1.2 engine, and buy 1.4 or 1.6 without any financial losses

i have and runs fine with 1.2 ecu but i had it mapped anyway as i had a dodgy map on.

its as easy as swapping for the same engine it already has:rolleyes:

thank-you Dave (y)

what about the axies? is from 1.2 good?

i assume you mean driveshafts? They are fine from the 1.2.

because if you're doing the work yourself, it's cheap. Swapping the 1.2 16v for a 1.4 16v is going to cost the same as swapping a 1.2 16 for a 1.2 16v - the only extra expensive would be buying the engine to begin with.

Isn't the 1.2 fly by wire anyway

no.

yes:)

what about a exhaust? i need complete exhaust from 1.4 or?and what about radiator?

so, this mean that a need only engine...gearbox and driveshafts are from 1.2, ecu from 1.2, gearbox sistem is for 1.2....

in this case its as easy as swaping for a 1.2 and there are plenty of1.4 16v for just a few 100 not thousands
