Fiat Brava 80sx 1.2ltr 16v (2000 Reg)

went out to the shop last night to get some bits and bobs realised the exhaust was making a weird noise when i was at the shop like it was miss fireing, so i start to drive back home and theres alot of knocking when the gearbox is enguaged,when ever the clutch was pressed or not in gear no nocking ???

manged to make it home, when i pulled onto my drive it sounded like a bag of nails idleing and i cant see any visiable problem under the bonnet.

the car is well maintained, checked fluids and tyres every week

i just dont understand what the hell has happened

i thought it was gearbox at first because of the knocking when the the box was engauged but then i though why would it be missfireing and running like a bag of nails idleing

anyone had the same problems ?

well at least i have my cinq for now

anyone have a low milage engine and box for sale ?

also just adding it has over rev'ed alot latley when its started first thing it goes up to 2500rpm then dropps to 1500rpm then normal idle and sometimes when i pulled up at a junction it did the same

It sucks o hear your brava's popped its cloggs on you dude, hopefully someone will know whats up =S

trust me i touched it, it was only a matter of time
