Right, posted up before but got nowhere..
To cut a long story short.Had new motor fitted during summer 08 and all was well and working fine..
I left car stood from dec to this month only to find the passenger window dont work.I stripped the door card off at weekend and could hear it clickin in the door,i then put my hand around the actual window motor and could feel it 'tick/vibrate' everytime i pressed the switch(s)..Does this mean, the motor has had it again,i cant even push thw window down thistime.Whereas last time,it went down halfway but just grinded...

Any help appreciated
Cheers

Sounds like the window mechanism is iffy, might have caused the initial problem and is now getting down to its business on the new motor.

Strip it out, clean and lube it, checking for looseness or other reasons for sticking IMO.

so ya think its down to actual mechanism this time?,would you say the motor sounds fine?
Weird how its stopped working all of a sudden.

I'd whip the motor out and see if it runs ok with no load on it and take it from there MickeyBravo, especially as you already have the door-card off.

All will be revealed that way.

Hiya,Im not no.Both switches for the passenger wont work, its weird
The driverside switch and window works .
On the driverside switch, theyre on the same plug so its baffling me as to why driverside works but passenger wont lol

Oh and how did you manage to get 125bhp out of a 1.2? lol
My mate has a 1.6 and hoping to achieve 130 with his chip, carbon cda and 4-2-1 :)

Just replace both passenger window switches!

The Bravo had an ecu remap + superchip installed. Performance exhaust, induction kit and has a Punto gearbox.

I say 125bhp but its Dyno proven for 123  125 just sounds better haha

wow,thats brilliant lol :D

You say replace them both,at night with lights on,they all light up so im presuming there is power going to them.
In a previous reply, there seems to be power going thru the switches as you can hear the relay box tick (as does the driverside).Just nothing happens..Now you say that,i think ill test it with my mates switches and try that.
Just weird how after 3 month, the passenger window has stopped working lol

Yea its weird alright. Just make sure when you're trying your m8s switches, that you try all 3 of them ( 2 passenger and one driver ) because i think the passenger ones work in series with the driver side.

right...Unfortunatly wont be able to test it as he flew out to south africa this morning for 3 weeks,so looks like ill have 2 put up with window bein up all time lol...proper baffled me it has lol

I just hope its not the motor as its a 2nd hand motor on ther enow and all was fine wen it got fitted...argh :bang: lol :D
Ah well,not to worry.

lol Its wasn't in Cork. Had them done in Dublin. I beleive the guys name who did the superchipping was Kevin byrne (motors) in Dublin. Its actually my dad knows him. The Ecu remap was done by AutoRemap in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin (y)
