Technical Spec for Front shock absorbers

Hi, I've got to replace the front dampers on my '98 bravo 1.6.

first, does anyoe know which are best: Magneti Marelli ones or someone mentioned KYB Excel-G in another thread. The Magneti Marelli ones are almost twice the price but are OEM spec, do the KYB ones stand up to them?

Secondly, does anyone know whether adding bump stops would be benificial and what size bore would I need?

KYB are fine, another make often available from motor factors, probably better known, is Munro. All the decent aftermarket makes will be engineered to give the same or very similar performance as the OEM (with regards to compression damping and rebound) for standard fitments.
