Thanks

Whatever you do dont buy a K+N/green/jetex etc induction kits. Do what i did and make your own. Bought a cone filter (a bloody huuuge thing with a colour coded heat shield) for 30 notes , a length of 60mm stretchable pipe from halfords for about 3 quid , 2 jubilee clips from anywhere really for about 60 pence and steal some black cable ties from your mate whos a spark. I stripped the old crap out right back to the sensor and replaced it with the piping. The filter was so big though i had to take my wheel off and take out the inner wing to get the thing in. Looks good. Sounds better than any other induction kit ive heard and all for less than half the price of a real one.

Your not really going to gain any or much BHP from a filter and a back-box.
Foam filters are the best, much better air filtration. Your choices are RAM-Air and Pipercross (my choice).
The Bravos got a weird one-piece exhaust so you'll either need to buy a cat-back exhaust off the shelf or get somewhere like powerflow or longlife to chop your standard exhaust in half and weld on a back box.
I wouldn't expect any more than 5bhp though might reduce some flat spots:D

Another thing, make sure you get plenty of cold air to your induction kit, leave the standard air feed in place (the one from the top of the grill) and get some of that flexible pipe from halfords for a couple of quid:D
You'll more than likely find you'll loose a bit of low end torque (i.e. below 3000rpm), the extra air feed should help combat some of this :D

The only people i could find who made a back box for the brava were devil and they wanted 200 quid for it. I got a peco universal one and had to have my old back box cut off. To be honest its not really worth it. Had a hell of a time trying to make it sit right and it doesnt sound as good as other ones. Try to find someone to make a custom back box , a mate of mine got one for a polo for 165 and its really high quality.

i had the same problem. Bravas jst arent catered for like other cars. i got a K&N 57i induction kit on my brava and it sounds awesome!but i wanted it louder so i looked for an exhaust. couldnt find anyone that made one so i went for a universal fit one. ended up with a 5 inch round rage backbox which took 5 hours to fit and doesnt make any difference what-so-ever!!pretty gutted. looks amazing though stickin out the back. i live near newcastle and there is a place there that deals with powerflow exhsusts so im gona get a through system made but im keepin the rage backbox.hopefully this should make it louder?i jst want it deeper when its tickin over and stuff. is that too much to ask for!!:Dwhat u guys reckon???
Ben.

Much respect to the dude that invented the wheel!!
