Since this is where most of you guys are watching, I'll ask here too:

I've got a 125TD marea and the speed sensor has recently died. [This also means that I'm not clocking up any mileage... heh heh...] but with all the spped cameras in Manchester, especially on my trip home from work, I'm bound to get booked soon just guessing my speed by the revs...

I've got a workshop manual for brava/o/mareas but it is a bit slim on the ground with details (i.e. none!). And since the engine looks like it's been shoe-horned into the bay I can't get much of a look with out some serious dismantling...

So... does anyone know where best to look or where it might be located???

the sensor is located on the differential, thats about all i can remember about it.

If the Marea is like the Brava then according to the Haynes manual: the vehicle speed sensor is mounted on top of the transmission casing.
