Hi guys,

Bravo 1.6 97.

Really confused. Ever since my sub was draining my battery and it needed to be jumpstarted, the code light keeps coming on intermittently.

Turned out I had a knackered battery, so replaced it. Then it was misfiring so I replaced the HT leads.

Now the code light is still coming on and occasionally it turns over for quite a bit before it starts. Any ideas? It's not affecting the cars performance, but I'm just worried it could become something worse... perhaps a problem within the ECU?

Also, my temperature gauge is not working... at first it would occasionally rise up between low and mid, but now it has stopped working completely. I don't know whether it would be the gauge or the thermostat.

I remember someone telling me that there was a way to tell if it is the thermostat, something about touching the pipes near the radiator? Any ideas on that too?

Ta,

Rusty x
