Hello All,

Looks like the elctrical gremlins have moved into my car for the winter!

Yesterday I had disco rear lights whenever I indicated right:eek:, removed the bulb holder, cleaned up the earth pin and that sorted everything out.

The other thing that has happened is the front fogs have packed up, checked the fuse but that was fine, the bulb on the switch illuminates when pressed but no fog lights! I also noticed that the rear fog light wont work unless you switch the front fogs on first!?!? I'm presuming that this is an earth fault but does anyone know where the front fogs are earthed or would it be quicker/easier to just give the fogs a new earth?

Any ideas are welcomed!

Rear fogs should come on without the front fogs. Not the other way round like you've mentioned. It could be an earth fault, a dodgy foglight switch or a bad relay.

Until about a week ago the fog lights worked independantly of each other, as they should. As you said could be a bad earth or a duff relay. Just need to find the earth point for the front fogs! Anyone know which relay controls the fogs as I havent got the book with me at work?

hi it could be a common earth problem ive had one on mine and it was in the boot from where the 4 brass pins come together the wires on the under side the black earth had corroded and after sorting that out every thing is now fine its worth checking
