quick stupid question we hav a 2000 Fiat Brava 1.9 JTD ELX (Jetalitic turbo diesel) (i think) on the centre console there is a button which looks like a snowflake the manual says its manual climate control is this another name for air conditioning as it feels like it as when you put it on pull pelt (4) the floor vibrates slightly and engine becomes noisy.

finally if it is how do u re-gas it

climate control is slightly different to air con. with air con you can only siwtch it on or off, with climate control the air con is automatically switched on or off depending on the temperature you select. so bascially climate control is a system that controls both the cooling and heating of the cabin automatically. it detects the current temperature with a sensor isn the car and then adjust the cooling/heating to achieve the desired temperature that you have chosen on the dial.


there is a valve in the engine bay that you use to re-gas the air con. you can buy a DIY kit from motorfactors/halfords etc that allows you to top it up yourself, or you can go to a garage and have it done. cost is very similar in both cases (usually £25-40)
