After purchasing a new car I have decided to use my Fiat bravo HGT 155 as a track car. A few of my friends have track cars but they are all golfs and we're struggling to source the parts required for my fiat HGT to prep the car ready for racing. I require roll cage, suspension etc etc anyone have any ideas the best and cheapest place to shop ( have tried demon tweaks).

cheers.

demon tweeks is great if you want to spend silly money to race the mcdonalds drive-thru circuits. :ROFLMAO:

you'll need a 6point FIA approved roll cage for the bravo, no one sells one that i know of, so you'll need ot have one fabricated. that isnt unusual, and it often costs less than buying an of the shelf omp or sparco option. where can you get it done? ask your local motorsport lovers. (they'll know all the best places to go -most of them will have custom cages).

suspension is available from all over the place. i assume you'll be wanting adjustable coilovers like this: http://www.potn.co.uk/p1269161.htm

i dont know what "etc etc" is so i cant help if you dont even know what you want, but google is your friend when searching.

you'll definately need a bucket seat with harness. the bravo seat subframes are available from sparco, or you can fit a cheaper universal one same as on any car.

if you feel the need for a front upper strut brace, you can get them all over for £80. not sure about rear upper or front lower, but bravo chassis is very rigid including the suspension turrets so imo there is no need.

have fun. the bravo chassis is very capable, imo it would make a good track car (defo better than a mk3 golf gti for example)

Hi Eddie, as the bravo is tipo based I would speak to Harry at Bianco auto as he has prep'd more alfa 145's then anyone else for sure, as that is virtually the same he can help with any area including the cage. You cage does not have to be FIA approved so dont worry about that. You can get ferrodo DS3000 pads, fluid and brembo discs for that car from Grand prix racewear - call them for what you need.

Get a racing seat from GPR as well and the cage guys should be able to make any additional mounts direct to the car - they usually always do that anyway. Even if you get a ready made cage like a tipo one there will still be welding to be done.

Get a fire extinguisher and master will switch for the battery if you like. Check the water system is in good condition i.e. the radiator has correded on the fins.
