becase trolly jack need to be able to move, if it cant then it moves the car, and like here if its on a stant it will pull car off of it

ive got it sorted now... but i aint touching that thing again till i have someone else here with me!

not helped by the axle stand being on gravel by the looks of it?
Exactly what i was going to say. Particully with cheap jacks, the wheels aint that great so even on flat concrete when the should be able to roll, they often dont. When the jack cant roll forwards as its being jacked, it instead pulls the car towards itself (and off the stand on the other side in this case.)
I've had a few close calls myself when i've not noticed the jack pulling the car, as i bet many other have, so dont beat yourself up over it... easy mistake to make - just be careful

i got it on stands now, gonna try and take 2nd wheel off and do the rest. if i feel im gonna be in any more danger from my own stupidity im gonna slowly back away and ring a man to come help me
