Hey kayl0rz ,

it IS always advisable, and I have done for safety for years now, that when youjack up any car to remove a wheel for working on your motor, is if you do , or do not have axle stands, is to use bricks to chock the remaining wheels, and the wheel you remove, slide it under the car (put some wood on ur alloy) for extra peace of mind. At least if this happens again. the car will only drop onto the wheel, thus leaving you to still reposition any jacks or axle stands.

I have seen someone do what you did and he was under the car at the time when it fell on him ! Luckly for him, there were plenty of us to lift the car off him, and we could pull him out from under.
Sure, he was lucky to only gain a few bruises. We now call him slim.

thought you take the calipers off to change pads... they the bolts that take em off  seeing as caliper was swinging about after they snapped

got new bolts now, they aint new, but im getting some nice shiney 8.8 grade ones off my friend that can get me any bolt i want for nout :D im considering making a list and replacing all bolts on the car for shiney new ones!!

Some of the bolts are hardened steel, and stainless steel ones are not strong enough - especially ones on the suspension. Not I can't remember if ss bolts suffer from self-lubrication or pickup so once again wouldn't suggest changing them.

Those caliper pins shouldn't need threadlock - they just need to be tightened sufficiently.
