my mileage counter is digital and has disappeared, im sure they need to write down current mileage on your mot certificate, will this fail? thankyou for reading

i ahd the same problem on my marea it is just dim and the test station just got the torch out it didnt fail

they write it down,however i dont think its a fail point or even a legal requirement to have one

repalce bulb behind display, problem sovled.

the torch idea will work fine for your MOT.

Hi I believe It's Down To The Test Station! (Like Having A Barely Legal Tyre On The Car But A Good Spare) If The Tester's Nice No Problem If He Want's To Be Pickie Then He Might Be A Pain, I Changed The Bulb Behind Mine It Took About 20 mins! If You Want Any Guidence Just Ask Its Not All that Hard (I Managed LOL)

IIRC they take note of the mileage to prevent keep an eye on future clocking/ fraud etc.

im a mot tester and i dont fail on no mileage being displayed, they enter no mileage when entering results into the computer and it says on the certificate 'not displayed' if they fail then thats just a bit tight

If you tell them and ask them to sort it out for you they might do it all in one for you.


if its a regular garge they replaced blubs on dash for me free where i use.
