I Have Fiat Brava 1.8 Elx P Reg 96 The Air Bag Warning Light Has Just Come On. The Fuse Is Ok , Just Wondered If Any One Has Any Ideas , Any Info Would Be Appretiated

the airbag system is very sensitive. have you touched anything lately, such as a connector under a seat or the airbag or pretty much any yellow wire on the car? even moving the seat forward and back can do it. a flat battery can trigger it too.

to switch it off you firstly need to have a fiat examiner machine diagnose the airbag system to see what the problem is, then you need to repair the fault it identifies, then you need to use a fiat examiner again to reset the airbag system. rarely cheap, rarely successful first time, but thats life

Have You unplugged the Speed meter previously?
If You did so - and if You turn the ignition On without connecting the indicators and counters the Airbag light will go Lit.
In this situation the only way to turn it off is to visit the Fiat Service...

The other cause (as the Jug says) of the light lit is the connector of driver's seat side airbags.
Try to check the connections (unplug the battery first and wait ca 10 min).

The third reason can be... leaking interior heater. The airbag control unit is just below the heating device.

yeah my Brava has the same problem and so does my dad's Bravo...its a problem with the car's computer...very very common problem with most bravas and bravo's...had it replaced ..got a second hand one, and the problem came back after a few months very pissing off!
