Hi All

I am after a passenger side front wing in colour code 387/A (very Light purple/gray)
(The colour code can be found on the back of the boot lid on a black and silver sticker.)
I am looking for a wing in perfect or near perfect condition, with the corrrect colour code.
Car is; Fiat Bravo P-Reg 1996

Or If you see one in a scrap yard let me know ;)
Thanks

This is my first car I have had it for just over a month and am loving it,
It has only done 30,000 miles and I am taking really good care of her ;)
Unfortunately the previous owner dented the wing.

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

hi you will be better of getting a new wing and getting it painted
as 1 it will be very hard to get one the same colour and 2 if it is the same colour code it still can be a different colour

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

iv got one. its boreal red though so its not the same colour. but wont cost that much to have sprayed. up to u, PM me if ur interested.

good luck with your search, if i see one i'll let you know. i would call every scrapyard and breaker on yell.com within 100 miles of your house.

i agree it will be hard to find, but it will be a perfect colour match. the other advantage is that it will be much cheaper.

getting one resprayed will make it very likley to be a different colour, you can never get a perfect match with a respray, paint fades and different manufactueres have slightly different shades, that is why buying second hand is better.

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

I finally got my wheels. Thanks to jug for his advice.
As you can see they are 15" Fiat 500 wheels with brand new continental tyres 185/55/15. They have totally changed the cars handling its like a completely different car I couldn’t be more chuffed with them.

I was going to mod the centre caps and remove the 500 in the middle but i think they look fine

Got Merea handles fitted, and there’s a white sticker down the side im gonna remove today, after I sort a rust spot.

Questions now ;)
I noticed my passenger electric windscreen switch lights up, but the two on the drivers side do not. Can anyone tell me if they should light up?

And if anyone see's a Bravo passenger wing colour code 387/A can you let me know?
Im desperate for a front passenger wing. Also after grill, and I may take a passenger door and bumpers.

Do they light up? God, i've had my 1.4 nearly 2 years and i've never noticed

However the injector light is almost a constant on my car, comes on and off as the fancy takes it lol

With the new fiats coming out like the grande punto, new panda, new bravo and 500 all the wheels on the new Fiats are now 4x100 fitment and the old Bravo is 4x98. I was wondering if you had to use wobbly bolts as im sure the new 500 has 4x100.?

Its an electric window switch not windscreen, that would be fun. LOL. Yes its supposed to light up, if you remove the switch from the unit, you can see where the LED has been soldered, check for breaks in it, the LED hardly ever fails. Its more than likely a hairline break. If no luck, get your self to a scrappy. Make sure you get window switches from the same side as each plug to power them is different.

The new fiat 500 is 4x98 Thats one of the reasons why i chose the wheels to avoid wobbly bolts :D. Also centre bore is 58mm and offset is 35mm, So the wheels fit on the Bravo no problem.

My Original wheels where 175/65/14 Circumference 1831.86mm
My New wheels are 185/55/15 Circumference 1836.26mm
So thats a difference of just 0.24%

nice alloys :)

the switches have tiny LEDS inside, the switches commonly fail. a scrapyard switch should sort it for a couple of quid.

Thanks Jug  I think they look ace on the Bravo.

I tried to remove the passenger wing last weekend and failed. I got every bolt off but the sticky gunk had a far tighter grip on the wing that I imagined it would.

Anyone with experience got a bit of advice on getting past the sticky gunk?

The bolt under the corner of the bonnet blew my mind when I saw it, thought I would have to remove the bonnet, but with the help of my dad we made a tool just the right length to remove that bolt :D

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

for the sticky stuff just use a knife to cut through it and then prise it off! If I remember correctly, don't you have to undo the bolt on the bonnet because the wing slides under it? Or am I wrong? Been awhile since I've done it!

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

Anyone know where i can get a LHD rear cluster for my Bravo?
I want a right rear cluster with the reverse lense in, like this pic

I have tried ebay and one person did have them but only sold them in pairs I wasn’t willing to pay for two they where stupid money.

search for someone breaking a bravo on ebay in the netherlands or other LHD country. it took me months to find mine.

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

Has anyone got a smashed in bravo rear bumper? If so Id like a chunk :D
The bit with the red reflector in, just cut out a few inches around the reflector.

I can drop someone a few quid through paypal, it should fit in a big jiffy bag.

What im trying to do is fit fog lights in place of the reflectors. If I get a reflector bumper chunk I could test fit things before ripping my car to bits.

No scrapyards local to me have a mashed bumper so i would have to buy a full one. :( I have been to so many looking for that passenger wing lol

it took me months to find mine.
oh yeah cheers jug. thought that would be the case.

Re: My Bravo 1.4SX (New Front Wing)

the reflectors are only clipped on, you can pull them off for test fitting fog lights. i found some that fitted perfectly at my local motorfactor, iirc they were 3" and made by RING. i didnt bother fitting them because my LHD rear light ended up been the one with the foglight not the reverse light, and i thought 4 rear fog lights was a bit OTT :)
