Lol arguing with the Fiat Workshop manual which prooves you wrong is retarded. Are you telling us Fiat built 1 Bravo with a custom 1.4 1.6 hybrid wiring loom? hahahaha!.

If your theory is correct does that mean I can just transplant a 1.4 T-jet out of a Grande or Bravo into my 1.4 Startjet mk2b Punto Sporting?. No it doesn't because most of the electronics are different as they are between the 1.4 12v and 1.6 16v in the bravo. Stop being a twit and admit you didn't do the transplant.

Get out and stop working up jug with your false crap!.

Its not a straight swap end of story STOP trying to convince vulnarable members into believing it is.

Maybe you should buy one of these?:-

That way you can leant that 2 different connectors of different shapes DON'T fit!. Its like putting the cube in the pyrimid hole. Then realise that even if they did the pin layout would be completly different.

Jeeeesus why do we even bother arguing..... Also why you using filthy youth txt speak? did you not learn english?.

whos using text talk??

i ent talkin lyk dis ya no.....

and please stop chattign crap lol im very confused here and tell me what connector????

The ones jug posted up more than a page ago which prooves that you are wrong and that you CANT use the same wiring loom. You need new loom, new ECU at the bare minimum. Its you that is 'chattign' crap. Just admit your wrong which you obviously are its in black and white.

i did put the 1.6 ecu...and the big connector that leads to it was still attahced the the engine block..i made sure i didnt take it apart from it. i kept as much as possible intact so that i cant mix the wires up.

and even ur not dumb enough to mistake chattign for txt slang lol u know i meant chatting - NG

ill be mature now lol...

There are no wires attached to the engine block. Just wires from different sensors and actuators which are part of the main wiring loom which plugs in to the ECU. Which I say again is totally the WRONG one and WONT fit a 1.6 ECU. If you cannot tell the difference there is no way in hell you could achieve an engine transplant. You MUST have chaged the loom as well.

well then being south african urself u probably understand that its not as easy for me as it could be for most of the people on here. im arguing the fact that i didnt cut wires and its ended up confusing me and the more i try to explain, the more i say the wrong stuff. and i really understand most of the stuff jug said.

maybe im wrong maybe its just me...but this is a very angry me talking! and anger + crap english = not good

i've just realised what has happened here, shaun did actually fit the 1.6 loom, but he doesnt realise he did.

in the post where shaun shows the connector he labelled 2, he is saying he fitted the engine complete with its ecu and the loom, and only connected the engine's loom to the car's loom at connector 2.

so this has been a simple misunderstanding.

shaun for future reference, all that wiring you left attached to the ecu and engine is called the loom, well to be more specific the engine loom (there are several other looms on the car). your previous posts suggested you used the 1.4 engine loom on the 1.6 engine and ecu, which isnt possible.

so we agreed the whole time, we just misunderstood each other.

lets all make friends

well thats the loom you meant lol...silly us...i thought u meant the loom with the connector for the car electrics lol...

my apologies Jug for the extremely bad language lol...and chris and the other one lol...:peace::hug:

So did i. So let me get this straight. Shaun fitted a 1.6 to a 1.4 and used the wiring loom from the 1.6 and not 1.4? Why was his engine change so much straigh forward than a say a 2.0 HGT engine swap for a 2.0 Turbo Coupe engine swap? Could you not take the engine loom from the coupe and do the same?
