Hi, just bought myself a nice v reg Bravo hlx. very pleased with it but i have came across a couple of problems. When i picked up the car they had obviously had the battery disconnected in the garage so the alarm wasnt beeping when it was set and unset, however with the help of a post on this site from JUG i managed to get it beeping again! However, now if i have the bonnet open, the doors unlocked and the alarm off, the alarm appears to be switching itself back on after about 5-10 mins! as you can imagine this is REALLY annoying when trying to do anything under the bonnet! Is this a fiat quirk or is there something i can do to swith this "function" off??
Any help appreciated! Thanks

i've never come across self arming on the bravo alarm before. did you change the country setting to get the beeps working? if you did, which country code number did you set it to?

Yeah i set the country code to UK (5 presses). I also discovered another problem that COULD be contributing, i noticed some water coming in through my interior light!! if the sensor is around that area it could be messing with the good italian electrics!!
P.S these are the least of my worries however i have it booked into the garage where i bought it from tonight for the others to be hopefully sorted!
Thanks jug!

sunroof leak is very common, you'll get used to it or you'll attack it with silicone.

i guess the alarm doesnt switch itself back on if you dont have the bonnet open?

Yeah from reading a few things on here the sunroof seals appear pretty poor! No, just with the bonnet open. Dropped into the garage last night to have her ailments hopefully fixed! They will be in for a nice surprise when they have her bonnet open for a few minutes!
Thanks again jug.

hi just a quick question, iv drive a punto mk2 and have just bought some standard 15" bravo alloys, do you know if they will fit straight onto the punto or will i need to do anything? thanks

Bit of an update, i have now noticed that the alarm is arming itself even without the bonnet open. It is now arming itself when i get out of the car. Sets after about a min of closing the drivers door. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

i believe auto arming is a setting that can be activated or disabled, but i'm not sure how to do it or if it is related to the country code you select. try asking a fiat dealer
