got a brava 100 16v elx its had a s/hand front bumper with out fogs/lights
the wireing is there and live with the switch on dash. think it had lights in bumper b4 can i bolt fogs on and use the light connections or will i have to wiire them all in from fresh

You can check that with a multimeter, if you have voltage to the cables when the fog switch is on then the wiring is ok. The second hand bumper has positions for fog lights or not? If there is a fog light switch in the panel then the car is equiped with the aditional wiring for fog lights.

take the bumper off and you'll see the marking on each side for the fogligh holes. cut the foglight holes out by hand using a scalpel or similar, thanks to the markings this is easy. then you attach the foglights to the bumper using the original mounting points. then plug them in and you're done. easy peasy

Yes the ELX had foglights as standard therefore it all should be live. Check the fuse for the foglights first if they don't work. A cheap alternative is to do as Jug stated, cut holes, buy the foglight holders and foglights and fit them. However note that on a proper bumper with foglights, around the fog holes, they are slightly indented, so that when the foglight holders go in they sit flush with the bumper. Also theres a top screw in the foglight holders to stop the light wobblying and coming loose which i dont think the mounting point is present on a standard bumper. However i could be wrong as i've never checked.

If your not a perfectionist then cut the holes, it'll be miles cheaper anyway.

there are foglight inserts on ebay at the moment if you can't get hold of any

Has the standard SX bumper got theese markings on and the mounting points?

ya it does

got some road runner driving lamps of e bay 20 pounds inc p and p orderd late thurs night arived sat am fitted saturday left bumper on took lights out cut holes out with a recipicating saw and a drill drilled hole into the metal behind but had to cut the toe eye braket in half and refit only held on with 2 bolts now not 3 lights gone in a treet more age than doing the in jectors thou thank fot the info
