hi everyone i currently own a fiat bravo 1.6 16v and have had various problems with it since the day i've had it, my most recent one is i seem 2 be having a knocking sound from both inside and outside the car when i turn the steering wheel to a certain angle, any idea on what it could be? also my door is making a knocking sound as i open and close it i have attempted to put grease on the henches of the door but it still knocks, any advice would be much appreciated thanks

the check strap makes the noise on your door, there are 2 allen bolts holding it ot the door, tighten them up and grease the check strap. if it still makes a noise it means the bracket has snapped on the bottom of the check strap (common problem because people dont grease them every year).

the noise when driving could be many things. what do you mean by "certain angle", is it only at full lock, left or right or both? is the noise only happening when you are moving or also when stationary? only over rough surfaces or all surfaces? only as you turn the wheel or only when you hold the wheel in a certain position or both?

ooo jug long time no speak haha, well it makes the knockeding sound when im both stationary and moving, say i turn the wheel to take a left hand turn it knocks about 3 times as i apply more steer and as i return the wheel to the centre it makes it again, driveshaft you think? it is a very loud noise which can be heard both inside and outside of the car

my first thought was drive shaft, but if it happens when you are stationary then it cant be that. so now i'm thinking power steering pump. first thing to do is check the fluid level.
