Awhile back I had the engine management light coming on. I had a diagnostic done and it returned a fault with the air pressure sensor..i replaced that (€110). Everything was going well until Thursday..the light came on. It started the same thing as it did before..the light comes on and the car sometimes cuts out completely, leaving me with no control. What's the likelihood it is the same pressure sensor? How common with it be for it to go that quickly? I have also noticed a drop in mpg. Are there any tests that I could do to find out if it is the sensor? I took it out today and cleaned it..wasn't dirty and it made no difference! I will have to book it in for another diagnostics during the week..just what i needed!!:bang::bang:

forgot to mention..I checked the oil today and it was almost empty, got quite a shock. I checked it nearly every week..and it never burned any oil..but I hadn't checked it in maybe a month. Could that be connected also? It was serviced 10k ago.

things are not going well for you aka dog hitting your car and now this
feel sorry for yah buddy

the sudden loss of oil is worrying, have a good look for evidence of any leaks.

another diagnostic is probably the best way to find out why the light is coming on again, it may be a completely different problem this time, or the same MAP problem, who knows.

Your loss of oil can be a separate problem! First of all check under your car for shines of leaking oil. If under your engine bay is wet with oil then you have a problem. Also check for a loose oil filter. As for the check engine problem, go there where you fixed the car( if it is a Fiat dealer even better) and ask them to have another look your car under guarantee!

the engine management light was coming on due to a hole in an airpipe. mechanic also cleaned out the throttle body and it now idles better on start up..goes through the proper start up procedure.
