put new shoes on, bled brakes, mot due tomorrow, - handbrake too high, not holding at all well......... how do i actually adjust the cable?????????

Try and follow the handbrake cable under the car.. sure u wud come to some kind of adjuster.. or take a trip to halfods and get urself a haynes

most hanbrakes have an adjuster under or near the handbrake lever on the underside of the car and also adjusters at the rear.either at each wheel or on the rear axle line(if it had one).as tidy boy said if your really stuck pick up a manual

pull the rubber boot off the handbrake, its a long 13mm nut too adjust the handbrake.

Turn it towards the drivers seat, you may need a fair few turns if it's really slack.
