Hi all
Just a quickie.
How much would I expect to pay for a cambelt change on a Brava 16v 1997-all in?
It's due soon so I need to be prepared.
Cheers
Peter.

I have a brand new kit for a 1.6 16v (bearing, belt and adjuster)
30 notes inc p+p if you are interested. I bought it online but was sold the wrong one ( I have a 1.8 16v)

sorry i dont really know how much it could cost
(i dont deal with the money end) but my best guess would be around £200 all in at a main dealer.
for a 1.6 you need special tools too adjust the belt and lock the cams at least, ive seen a few 1.6's come in after cambelts at backstreet garages with timing problems because it wasnt done right.

You're talking around £115 for the 1.6 all in. Check my guide http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/cambelt-guide.htm

i read your guide for the 1.2, personally i think its crazy too do it without the tools on a 1.2

Pete do you want the kit?
Make me an offer if you do, as it is just gathering dust and I just want to get shot of it. \btw the 1.2 guide doesn't say that the pulley needs replacing too,
