does anyone know the part number and/or availability for a cabin filter for my 1997 1.8 ELX Brava (with Air Con)? Halfords got me one in but it seems far too big for the hole (by at least 3 times the size). Unfortunately there isn't an old one in place at the moment to compare with. The only thing where I assume the filter should be is the hole in the bulkhead just above the blower motor. Any ideas?

the hole covered by the scuttle trim under the bonnet with a small acess panel (2 screws) on the near side front.

yup that's the hole, once the cover is removed there is just a hole beloe and you can see the motor, no filter or holder there.

My later posts have the part number you probably need. I have that part on order from Fiat, just have to pick it up sometime soon. I will let you know if that is the correct part. It should be, can't think of anything else.

definitely looks like it is the part I require as well, it wasnt on my aircon model. Can you let me know how you get on with the order?

Picked up that part on Friday. The filter itself fits in it properly like it should, but now I haven't got a clue how to fit the thing. Haynes Manual takes about it from the point of the view that it's already fitted and you just want to change filter. I don't want to try too hard 'cos the area's cramped as it is and I don't want to break the housing (fiddly clips on either side).

Anyone with aircon wanna open it up for us and take some photos?

About £8. Took 2 weeks to come into the parts dep at Fiat though.

naah, have got that already from Halfords, which is why I found no holder for it lol
