Has anybody had experience of taking off the black plastic rubbing strips from the side of there Bravo?
Are they just glued in place or do they fix into the side panels??
Cheers to anyone that can help.

judging by the size of them and how well there attatched i wud guess that they are attatched via some kinda plastic connector..

I only ask as i was thinking of taking them off to spray them the same colour as the car. Im thinking of doing the same with the black plastic inserts on the front and back bumpers.
Bit of a colour coding thang.

Yeah, well ok... they will come off but you will have to buy the adesive pad to put them back on, but when you take them off you must be careful they dont bend, it maybe a better idea to buy new ones anyway, spray them up and then take the old ones off and then it doesnt matter if they bend when you take the old ones off and just stick the new ones on!

No - dont take them off and leave them off - i think there is a long hole in the bodywork which the strips cover, if not then a indentation. My advice is just to leave them as they are, or see my above post!

One of mine has started coming off and I can confirm that there is not only an indentation but also a couple of holes in the bodywork where a plastic connector fits between strip and bodywork. That's how it is on my Brava anyway, assume the Bravo is similar. I'm hoping to do the same thing towards the end of the month and stoopidly enough never thought of buying new ones! Duh.

Do the rubber bumper inserts come off as well or am I looking at a masking tape jobbie? And how much would it be for some new strips?

Helz > The strips costs about between £10 - £15, you would need to contact your local Fiat dealer and ask for fiat parts dept, thats what i did!
I am unsure about the inserts in the bumper, it may be worth asking fiat whether they can be removed.
