ok basically i think ima put a new engine in my bravo 1.6 16v rather than remove teh head and have the valves fixed but i thought i should ask u guys b4 i do anything. which do u think would be cheap if i called the mobile mechanic out? what is the average price for a clean head? and what is the average price of puttin in a engine? any information would be much appreicated... thanks

If you get a garage to do it, about £1000 for another engine fitted (what i was quoted on a brava including a timing belt change) if you change the engine yourself then it will cost you about £250 (price of the engine) plus a sunny weekend

probably better to repair your head, it would cost about the same.

replacing the engine will cost more, and you never really know what you're getting so its always a risk.
