Hi guys,

Some where on this forum, i though i read that their is a light that illuminates, the mile, and trip readout, am i dreaming?
as i am sure it was green before.

The reason I ask is that i have just noticed that, i can no longer read the mile and trip display, and though it was broken, until i moved my head about, and was able to finally read the changing numbers. The rest of the instuments also look darker than before, even when the dimmer switch is set up high,

This Q seems self-explanatory - yes, there is a bulb behind the odometer and it needs replacement, possibly as well as other bulbs behind the dials.

I have a blown bulb, too, but I refuse to mess with it for the time being.

I need to sort the lights out on my heater controls. The selecter for what vent you want the air to come out of when you turn the lights on it does not illuminate, un til you tap the side or open and close the ash tray. Lose connection I presume.

It's one of those jobs that I will never do until the day before I sell the car, then I'll be rushing around to do it.

getting the instrument panel off is very easy, its a 10 minute job. you dont even need to remove the steering wheel, just drop it as low as it will go.

then all you need to do is remove the black plactic cover at the back of the instrument panel. then you can see the bulbs, they are standard cluster bulbs, you turn them 90degrees to unlock them. i think there are 5 bulbs altogether iirc.
