my fiat brava 1.4sx had a new cambelt fitted less than 4 months ago and today it snapped right in the middle of town called the RAC and he told me that it was the cambelt now the mechanic that fitted the cambelt is going to have a look at it to tell me what damage but i think he will try and say it wasn't due to him.i don't know as i havent got a clue about car repairs could anyone tell me what sort of damage has been done i had only just pulled away from traffic lights when the car lost power and then lurched forward and then a snapping noise i heard and the car cut out completely, on trying to start it it just made a whirring high pitched noise is the engine completely recked.i use this car for my work i am a part time delivery driver and without a car i will lose my job. is this car worth repairing or should i get another car the problem is i can't afford to really replace it, please can anyone give me an idea about cost to repair it and could it have snapped because of the mechanic fitting it wrong
