I've got a Bravo 80SX as my first car, and it's got a couple of problems.

Firstly, I only just got 300 miles out of the last tank.

Secondly, it is really jerky when accelerating, until it hits 3k rpm when I get a power surge. When I first got the car, it only did it when the engine was cold, but now it happens most of the time.

I've just had the timing belt changed on it, as there was no history of it being done when I bought the car.

Any ideas what it could be? It was MOTed last month.

when did it have a full service? Plugs, leads, oil, filters etc.

Last service in the book was 2005 I think, although the guy said it had been done since then. Worth getting it done?

a diagnostic is the best thing to try.

i always fully service a car when i buy it, even if the service history says it was done last week.
