General Bravo JTD: Should I buy one?

Have you never sat in a Clio? I mean seriously? A thin steering wheel? What? I praise what deserves praise and dcis deserve praise. I mean are you seriously arguing that the Bravo/a interior is something to shout about?

The Clio II was based on the Grande Clio (released 1998...). At least Renault actually put a bit of passion into the Clio in terms of hot models, unlike Fiat who are still leaving us without a hot model. First comment people make against the Stilo is the interior...

Are you suffering from type blindness? I've already told you I've been in at least 3 - on hundreds of occasions. Primary contact with a motor vehicle is it's steering wheel. The clio has a terrible one to hold. Compared to the 96 Bravo the Clio should be better - and its not.

So bravo owners, all the HGT and sports owners and now Stilo owners. Would you like to insult anyone else's choice in car while you're at it? Maybe you can just start a thread called Fiats are crap?

Fiat haven't made a hot model since the Coupé, I doubt many people would deny that. The HGT is a quick car but that's all. Unfortunately this is a forum and hence I get to write my opinion as you get to write your opinion. If you keep falsely slating Renault diesels I will keep showing the truth.

Type blindness? No, but I don't know what's up with your hands since you have just made up the idea that the Clio steering wheel is thin. I will let everybody else see the pictorial fact of that:

Hence your criticism is obviously a made up idea. I am sure there's plenty of criticism of the Clio but a "thin" steering wheel is not a valid point.

In terms of style and looks, there's no question in mind which is better. The Bravo is so much more stylish and I prefer the size too. A black Bravo with nice 17's is what I had hoped for.

:(

I have to say that the interior of that Clio looks nothing but dull.

I would have to agree with you there. Compared to the Bravo/as flowing lines, it appears very bland.

As for the engines, I doubt there's much difference in the real world, a couple of bhp, Nm or mpg one way or the other isn't going to make much difference. It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it ;)

As proven by your Brava on the way upto the Falkirk meet. Never known a car keep up with the milkbottle before

Probably won't be interested at all, but in the end went for a boring old fiesta. :(

Met Pepper Red, 1999 reg, 40000 miles, 1.25 zetec engine, 73bhp, fogs, body-coloured bumpers, spoiler, sports seats, remote locking, 14" alloys.

Only 2 lady owners from new, fsh. Runs sweet as a nut - got it for just over £1500.

Would prefer a bravo anyday though lol.

In fact, I did actually look at a similar one to the one in the link you've shown. Its not bad, but nothing on there about regular services. The 1.3 performance is poor, and I prefer the little additions with the 1.25 (alloys, seats etc). The seller had a receipt for £300 of work done a few months back aswell.

Out of interest, does anyone know if there's a member on here who owns a bravo and comes from Andorra?

I passed through the country last summer, and I was shocked when I saw a bravo there in a place called Pas de la Casa I think. Let me know if anyone knows anything.

Really would like to see it again.
