Hi guys, just been reading apost about mirrors, confused as to if i have the temp sensor (1.6 trofeo. X plate) and where i would see the temp if i did have (ps non air con model. dont know if that matters)

if i dont have it, what would i steal/borrow/beg it from?

Mine hasnt got one either :)

so... where will i get one and what other bits do i need. ie if i just get the buttons and the sensor is all the wiring in place and does the car automatically know about it.

what is it? its an air temp sensor, a thermometer.
loads of cars have one, i cant see the point myself.

the way to tell if it would work on your car is by how many wires are on the connector for your driver's side mirror. if you have 7 wires then the temp sensor will work, if you have 5 wires it wont.

The best bit is it warns you if its likely to be black ice etc, in case you go from your warm house to the car.

if you need a warning to tell you its cold and could be icy, you probably shouldnt be driving at all :)

haha but you know what i mean your driving along and suddenly you go into a valley etc where the temperature drops, and in your nice warm car with heated seats you dont notice the change in temp from 6oC to 2oC, so it flashes a friendly warning.

Does it on the S40 as well but it also speeds up the DSA reaction etc.
