HI THERE, IVE JUST PUT A FACTORY ORIGINAL FOAM SPONGY REAR SPOILER ON MY TIPO,DONE ALL THE NESSASARY WORK SANDING ,PREPING, PRIMERING AND SPRAYED IT, ANYWAY 2 DAYS LATER THE PAINT IS CRACKING,
ANY IDEAS ON HOW I CAN GET PAINT TO BOND TO THE SPOILER PROPERLY,
THORT ABOUT SUPERGLUE OR EVO-STICK lol,

CHEERS (y)

Nightmare scenario. Foam spoilers absorb moisture and any type of paint will crack. Best solution is paint with adhesion aid then seal with an epoxy resin then pray for three days before you attempt to paint it. Usually it will crack due to expansion.

EH!?? Thats not the way i do it, firstly its a job for a pro! who will have to remove all your hard work he he!, right back so you have a rubber spoiler (bare) then a coat of 2k primer with flex agent 2020 ici, (20%) 5 mins flash off then on with the colour (you never mentioned if metallic or straight colour) if its a solid colour ie white red etc, add another 20% of flex to the colour 2, 3 coats job done, the 2020 turns the paint into a rubbery flexable state, the last ones i did recently were on an audi quattro turbo boot spoiler and mk1 rs turbo boot which are both rubber as is yours, take it to a local bodyshop for a quote i estimate £120 not cheap but a proper job no cracks!!! Ant!
